Senior Show Mechanical Technician – Performance Lake

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Senior Show Mechanical Technician to join the Performance Lake team for its upcoming resort opening. The role involves ensuring mechanical systems used in live shows operate safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical equipment such as lifts, turntables, and special‑effects devices.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues quickly to minimise show downtime.
• Collaborate with show directors, stage managers and other technicians to meet technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance.
• Support rehearsals, technical run‑throughs and the setup/teardown of systems for special events.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in live entertainment or theatrical settings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and willingness to work flexible hours.
