Senior SOC Engineer (Splunk SIEM)

About the role

CPX Security is looking for a Senior SOC Engineer to lead the design, implementation and operation of its Splunk SIEM platform in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with the security operations team to ensure continuous monitoring, rapid detection and effective response to cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Splunk SIEM and Splunk UEBA services within the SOC.
• Design scalable ingestion pipelines, parsing logic and correlation rules for new log sources.
• Onboard, configure and maintain diverse data feeds, ensuring data quality and performance.
• Monitor system health, apply updates, troubleshoot issues and tune performance.
• Support architecture enhancements and drive deployment of new security use‑cases.
• Produce documentation, dashboards and reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SOC experience with strong focus on Splunk SIEM management.
• Relevant certifications such as Splunk Certified Administrator, CISSP, and cloud architect credentials (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to lead initiatives independently.

Required skills

• Splunk SIEM administration and SPL (Search Processing Language).
• Scripting in Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Security certifications: CISSP, GIAC (preferred).
