Senior Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team and help train next‑generation AI systems. In this contract role you will apply your deep programming expertise to improve how models learn and reason, using real‑world code examples. No prior AI experience is required – your domain knowledge and coding skills are what matter.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert‑level support for bug fixing, feature implementation, codebase refactoring and performance optimisation across multiple languages.
• Analyse and enhance existing software to improve clarity, maintainability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, offering feedback to improve AI model training workflows.
• Develop robust solutions, document best practices and support scalable AI training pipelines.
• Evaluate system architecture and recommend technical strategies for optimal results.
• Communicate technical findings and project progress clearly in written and verbal form.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Python, Java, Rust or TypeScript; additional knowledge of C++ or Go is a plus.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and performance tuning.
• Proven track record of debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable code.
• Experience with feature development, codebase refactoring and optimisation for scalability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in remote, cross‑functional teams.
