Senior Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Senior Solutions Engineer will act as the primary technical field expert for Couchbase, helping customers understand and adopt our data platform. This role focuses on customers who interact with Couchbase through application code and the development lifecycle, combining presales expertise with hands‑on software development experience.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with prospects and customers to uncover technical challenges and map them to Couchbase solutions.
• Deliver workshops, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts that showcase the value of Couchbase in real‑world scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to shape account strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• Articulate Couchbase differentiators and guide customers through solution design and implementation.
• Provide technical discovery support, including requirement gathering and solution architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a presales or solutions engineering role, preferably within the enterprise software space.
• Strong background in software development and familiarity with solution development methodologies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Consultative mindset with a track record of influencing customer decisions.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
