Senior Specialist – Employee Affairs & Services

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Employee Affairs and Services supports day‑to‑day employee relations and services at AUS, working closely with the Senior Manager to provide professional HR guidance, ensure policy compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for colleges/departments on employee relations matters, providing timely advice and escalating complex issues.
• Support development and implementation of employee relations initiatives aligned with AUS goals and values.
• Assist in monitoring, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures.
• Administer disciplinary actions and grievance procedures in line with AUS policies and labor laws.
• Conduct fair investigations into complaints while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and reduce turnover.
• Provide HR administrative support for leave, contracts, probation, terminations, and campus housing coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of four years progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities; able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• High discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
• Ability to make unbiased decisions aligned with AUS values and policies.
