Senior Specialist – Platform Reliability and Application Support

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, seeks a senior specialist to improve production reliability of its AI platforms and applications for internal users and external customers. The role blends application support with engineering to detect problems early, restore services, and prevent recurrence.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end understanding of assigned services, including user journeys, data flows and third‑party dependencies.
• Implement service level indicators and reliability objectives, building logs, metrics, traces, dashboards and alerts.
• Diagnose production issues across code, APIs, queues, databases, containers and underlying services.
• Write automated diagnostic tooling, conduct incident response and provide clear communication to customers and internal users.
• Improve deployment readiness, health checks and recovery mechanisms with engineering teams.
• Conduct capacity, performance and resilience testing, and use incident reviews to drive improvement priorities.

Required profile

• Strong production application support or reliability engineering experience with complex incidents.
• Ability to read and debug code in languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building automation, using Git and applying tests before production.
• Practical knowledge of observability, distributed tracing and alerting.
• Working knowledge of Linux, containers, cloud services, APIs, databases and networking.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, incident response and on‑call rotations.
