Senior Store Manager - Retail

About the role

The Senior Store Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of the store, combining leadership with hands-on management. The role drives strategic decisions so the store meets its sales, customer service and operational goals, while ensuring compliance with company policies and an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and profit management: develop and run strategies to meet sales targets and profitability goals, monitor daily and weekly sales, review KPIs, and use product placement, promotions and upselling to grow sales
• Inventory management: keep stock balanced to avoid stock-outs and overstock
• Team leadership: recruit, train and onboard staff, run regular performance reviews, give feedback and recognise high-potential staff for future leadership roles
• Customer service: set a high standard, handle complaints promptly, welcome customers and use feedback to improve service
• Operations: oversee day-to-day work including stock replenishment, cash handling and store maintenance, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed
• Visual merchandising: keep displays clean and aligned with brand guidelines, working with the VM team on seasonal trends, promotions and sales targets
