Senior Structural Designer

About the role

An operations unit in the Engineering Sector is looking for an experienced structural engineer with strong expertise in RCC and steel building design. The role suits a leader with 10-15 years of experience in structural design consultancy who will lead the design team, drive engineering excellence and deliver safe, efficient and innovative structural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of RCC and steel buildings from concept through detailed design and IFC.
• Perform and review structural analysis using ETABS, SAFE and SAP2000.
• Oversee foundation, slab, beam, column, seismic, wind and lateral stability design.
• Ensure compliance with ACI, BS, ASCE 7 and applicable local authority requirements.
• Review design calculations, structural drawings, technical submissions and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams for effective design integration.
• Lead, mentor and develop the structural engineering team while managing design quality, project delivery and technical decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience in structural design engineering projects in the UAE market; experience handling projects in the UAE market is a must.
• Strong expertise in complex building structures, with large-scale project experience preferred.
• Proven team management, mentoring and project coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE and SAP2000.
• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM coordination.
• Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and local authority regulations.
