Senior System Admin Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Admin Engineer to lead the administration, configuration, and management of our critical applications and services. The role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the administration, configuration, and management of application servers, databases, middleware and related services.
• Manage and resolve incidents, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to minimize business impact.
• Analyze root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Plan, test, document and execute changes to applications and services while mitigating risks.
• Maintain vendor relationships, coordinate support activities and ensure contractual compliance.
• Monitor performance and utilization, identify optimization opportunities and apply performance‑tuning measures.
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance, including data privacy requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and produce regular reports on service levels and incident trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in system administration or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of administrators.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex technical problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Effective planning and organization to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Adaptability to evolving technologies, processes and priorities.
• Commitment to thorough documentation practices.
