About the role
WSP is looking for an IT Support Intern to assist with day‑to‑day operations and provide first‑level technical assistance to end users. This 3‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment, supporting the IT team in maintaining workplace technology.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first‑level support for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Assist with setup, configuration and maintenance of laptops, desktops and other equipment.
- Install and update standard software applications.
- Troubleshoot minor system and network problems, escalating when necessary.
- Support meeting rooms, video‑conferencing tools and collaboration platforms.
- Track IT assets and maintain accurate records.
- Log incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system.
- Perform routine equipment checks, replacements and updates.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong interest in IT support and technology services.
- Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of computer hardware.
- Familiarity with operating systems and software installation.
- Fundamental network troubleshooting.
