Senior Systems Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Officer to join a prestigious client in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting the core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security of systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and basic Linux environments.
• Administer Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and access controls.
• Monitor and manage backup operations, perform data restorations, and validate backup integrity.
• Assist with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V under supervision.
• Support storage solutions and basic file‑server management.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot LAN/WAN and Wi‑Fi issues.
• Track system performance, logs, and security events, reporting any suspicious activity to the Information Security team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of proven experience in IT systems and infrastructure.
