Senior Technical Engineer - DataCentre Facilities

About the role

Emirates Group IT is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to design, develop and deliver high‑quality data‑centre solutions that meet business needs and corporate standards. The role acts as a technical expert and consultant, guiding EGIT teams and ensuring successful delivery of assigned work packages.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical consultancy and lead technical delivery for assigned work packages.
• Develop robust IT solutions that conform to corporate standards and technical strategy.
• Ensure architecture meets service‑level requirements for availability, capacity, security and performance.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to implement monitoring and incident management.
• Guide project managers on solution definition, technical design and development.
• Own change management, documentation and end‑of‑life equipment replacement.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology.
• 5+ years experience in data‑centre facilities with strong knowledge of critical infrastructure, operations, compliance and vendor management.
• Mandatory professional certification in data‑centre design, operations or facilities management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDFOM, ATD, AOS).

Required skills

• Data‑centre infrastructure (power, cooling, structured cabling, fire suppression, UPS, generators).
• Capacity planning, risk management, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Incident response, SOPs, MOPs and day‑to‑day environmental monitoring.
• Compliance standards such as ANSI/TIA‑942 and relevant ISO standards.
• Vendor, contract and SLA management.
• Project management and leadership of technical teams.
