Senior Technical Software Engineer – AI Computer Vision

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Senior Technical Software Engineer to lead AI and Computer Vision initiatives that enable contactless, non‑intrusive passenger experiences across its airport ecosystem. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on development, guiding end‑to‑end solution delivery from model selection to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery, feasibility assessment and technical design of Computer Vision and AI projects, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
• Own the full lifecycle of AI/CV solutions, including model development, testing, GPU‑accelerated pipeline optimisation, and deployment in multi‑camera airport environments.
• Design and optimise GPU‑accelerated pipelines for video analytics, ensuring efficient processing of high‑volume streams and effective GPU utilisation.
• Drive adoption of NVIDIA technologies, identify opportunities to improve passenger experience, operational efficiency, security and automation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and establish standards, playbooks and best practices for model development, benchmarking, deployment and monitoring.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience delivering large‑scale, secure AI/Computer Vision solutions in enterprise Agile environments.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience with strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Excellent problem‑solving, risk management and production support capabilities.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, C++, NodeJS, Java.
• Software engineering: microservices, algorithms, data structures, concurrency, performance engineering, integration tools (e.g., Solace).
• Computer Vision & video processing: object detection, recognition, tracking, Re‑ID, multi‑camera/multi‑view 3D vision, camera calibration, RTSP/IP cameras, GStreamer.
• AI/ML frameworks: PyTorch, OpenCV, ONNX Runtime, Vision Foundation Models, Generative AI.
• NVIDIA & GPU computing: CUDA, TensorRT, DeepStream SDK, TAO Toolkit, MV3DT, Omniverse/Isaac Sim.
• Cloud & deployment: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kafka, CI/CD, relational/NoSQL databases.
