Senior Traffic Engineer

About the role

The Senior Traffic Engineer will lead the design, analysis and coordination of traffic engineering solutions for a variety of landscaping, streetscape, public realm and infrastructure projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review traffic engineering designs, circulation plans, junction layouts, parking arrangements and pedestrian facilities.
• Lead Traffic Impact Assessments, traffic modelling and safety studies, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with UAE authorities (RTA, Dubai Municipality, DMT) to obtain approvals and ensure compliance with local standards.
• Integrate traffic designs with landscape, utilities, lighting and drainage systems, resolving multidisciplinary clashes.
• Provide construction support, review shop drawings, monitor site works and manage temporary traffic diversions.
• Mentor junior engineers, maintain quality standards and monitor project schedules and authority timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Transportation or Traffic Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 8‑12 years of relevant experience, including work in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proven track record in traffic engineering design, traffic studies and authority submissions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Civil 3D (where applicable)
• Traffic analysis/modeling software such as SIDRA, VISSIM, SYNCHRO
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
