Senior Underwriter – Property

About the role

The Senior Underwriter – Property will lead the acquisition of new business and manage a high‑performing underwriting team. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth, maintaining key client relationships, and ensuring underwriting decisions align with the company’s financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business acquisition efforts by identifying market opportunities, building broker and client relationships, and negotiating terms.
• Perform detailed risk assessments to balance risk and reward while maintaining underwriting quality.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, communicating strategies, decisions, and market insights to brokers, clients, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to provide proactive underwriting solutions.
• Oversee preparation of underwriting reports, risk assessments, and related documentation.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of underwriting experience in Property, with exposure to Casualty and Financial lines.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field; professional designations (e.g., ACII, CPCU) preferred.
• Proven ability to acquire new business and build strong client relationships.
• Deep technical knowledge of liability insurance products, pricing, and coverage structuring.
