Service Agent – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are looking for a Service Agent to join our Food & Beverage team at Paramount Hotels Dubai. The role involves serving and clearing food and beverage items efficiently while ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve and clear food and beverage items in a professional, unobtrusive manner.
• Prepare and maintain tables, trays, and service trolleys according to hotel standards.
• Coordinate effectively between the kitchen and service areas.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Respond to guest requests, handle complaints professionally, and identify upselling opportunities.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including completing checklists and maintaining inventories.
• Monitor stock levels of food, beverage and service equipment, and ensure appropriate par stocks.
• Collaborate closely with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure efficient service.
• Provide support to other hotel outlets and departments as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience in a 5‑star international hotel.
• Strong guest service orientation with a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hotel School degree, diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of HACCP, Upselling techniques or WSET Level 1 is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MICROS or similar POS systems.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
