Shift Brick Layer – Steel Industry

About the role

STAR SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Shift Brick Layer to join its steel production team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on installing and maintaining refractory linings for vessels used in high‑temperature processes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met during each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out bricklaying tasks assigned by the supervisor according to production schedules.
• Prepare and maintain all machinery, consumables, and tools required for refractory work.
• Install refractory linings on vessels with strict adherence to work instructions.
• Report any abnormalities observed during work and seek guidance from the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, obstacle‑free work area and follow all safety regulations.
• Coordinate with crane operators, EAF, LRF, and CC sections to optimise plant productivity.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new employees.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma/ITI with in‑depth technical knowledge of refractory applications.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a brick layer/mason in a steel plant.
• Experience with mini‑steel plants that have EAF/LF/CCM production routes is advantageous.
• Strong planning and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with multiple teams.
