Shift Manager - Base Maintenance

About the role

The Shift Manager – Base Maintenance supports the Base Maintenance Manager in overseeing all maintenance activities on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures work is performed, certified and recorded in line with Air Arabia procedures and regulatory requirements, while managing manpower and resources efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and deputize the Base Maintenance Manager in leading engineers and technicians.
• Serve as the primary contact for MCC, Development & Planning Engineers, and Quality Assurance on daily maintenance tasks.
• Lead the team to execute aircraft maintenance, troubleshoot defects, and reduce recurring issues using MCC instructions, technical logs, and crew input.
• Supervise 3rd‑party Service Level Agreements, ensuring all personnel are trained and licensed.
• Enforce safety measures, human‑factors controls, and hand‑over procedures to protect continuity of critical tasks.
• Review maintenance plans and operational status reports, ensuring timely and cost‑effective execution.
• Coordinate with MCC on pending problems that could affect operations or service standards.
• Guarantee airworthiness by dispatching aircraft in fully compliant condition and overseeing inspections and tests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft base maintenance and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and Air Arabia procedures.
• Ability to lead and motivate engineering and technical teams.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal stakeholders and third‑party service providers.
