Site Engineer

About the role

NMDC Dredging and Marine is seeking a Site Engineer to support the Project/Construction Manager in supervising and managing construction activities on assigned projects. The role involves daily coordination with site teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering work on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily briefings with site team leaders to monitor progress and anticipate delays.
• Take immediate corrective actions to mitigate deviations and recover schedule.
• Assist in planning and sequencing construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan.
• Ensure sub‑contractors and staff adhere to HSE rules and regulations.
• Evaluate and resolve discrepancies affecting work quality.
• Participate in technical meetings to address issues on sub‑contracts.
• Coordinate hand‑over of completed works to clients and manage rectification tasks.
• Inspect and compile completion lists after consultant acceptance inspections.
• Provide technical support to team members and manage non‑conformance activities.
• Prepare and lead site inspections with consultants in line with quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction activities on site.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to address technical and quality issues.
