Site Engineer

About the role

Al Futtaim is looking for a Site Engineer in Dubai to oversee construction projects so that they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The role covers day-to-day site activities, including monitoring safety compliance and environmental standards, and requires close communication with project managers, subcontractors and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver construction projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues quickly and manage site operations proactively to minimize delays.
• Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Manage multiple subcontractors, suppliers and site workers with differing priorities and schedules.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with project managers, subcontractors and clients, translating technical details into clear instructions and reports.

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of experience in construction site management or a related field.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Strong organizational skills, risk anticipation, leadership under pressure and resilience in stressful conditions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and site management best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency with project management tools and site reporting software.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour teams.
