Skilled Upholsterer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and meticulous upholsterer to join our Dubai atelier, responsible for the complete upholstery process from frame preparation to final fabric application, ensuring each piece meets our high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, shape, and apply fabric, leather and specialist materials to furniture frames with precision.
• Prepare and restore frames, installing webbing, springs, foam and padding using traditional and contemporary techniques.
• Interpret technical drawings, design briefs and client specifications to deliver accurate results.
• Carry out repairs, restoration and reupholstery of existing pieces to the highest standard.
• Ensure finished pieces meet quality control benchmarks before sign‑off and delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers, providing updates and flagging issues.
• Source and evaluate materials, advising on durability, aesthetics and client requirements.

Required profile

• Professional upholstery experience, preferably in high‑end furniture, hospitality or interior design.
• Proficiency in both traditional hand‑tied spring and modern upholstery techniques.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating craft quality.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic or other languages a plus.
