Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms that process human‑generated datasets. The role is fully remote and involves collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure reliable, high‑performance data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for real‑time and batch processing of large datasets.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to guarantee data integrity and accessibility.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka or Spark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
