Software Solution Consultant (QHSE Software) - Dubai

About the role

DNV is looking for a Software Solution Consultant to join its QHSE Customer Solution Design team, based in Dubai (Middle East). The consultant works with external customers to configure and implement the Synergi Life software suite, which helps organisations manage enterprise risk, incidents, quality and operational excellence. The role reports to the Head of Section Global QHSE Customer Solution Design and may involve occasional travel to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Attend workshops and meetings to gather customer requirements and prepare specification documents and scopes of work
• Advise customers on best practice so they get the best return on their Synergi Life investment
• Identify ways to add value to customer implementations and sales opportunities with existing customers
• Configure the Synergi Life application according to customer requirements
• Test installations and configurations, as well as the work done by other consultants
• Act as project manager for smaller implementation and configuration projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic or another regional language is an advantage
• Previous experience in the energy sector is an advantage
• Self-driven, proactive, customer-oriented, able to challenge customers and solve problems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in teams

Required skills

• Programming language experience
• High-level knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server)
• Proficiency with Windows Server and web technologies
• Knowledge of Synergi Life, HSEQ or risk domains, and Microsoft Azure are advantages
