Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Solutions Engineer is the technical bridge between customers and Quvia’s engineering and operations teams, assessing current networks, capturing technical requirements and pain points, and converting them into solution designs that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales to assess customer networks and design tailored multi‑path traffic orchestration solutions across satellite and terrestrial environments.
• Lead end‑to‑end proof‑of‑concepts, defining success criteria, hardware specifications, installation, configuration and testing.
• Troubleshoot complex issues with customers, QA and engineering teams and manage handoff from POC to production.
• Use scripting and DevOps practices to automate configuration templating, workflow automation and tooling for repeatable deployments.
• Act as a technical advisor, conduct training sessions and workshops, and provide status updates and health metrics to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of network engineering experience with terrestrial and/or satellite communications and multi‑link architectures.
• Proven ability to lead customer‑facing POCs, deployments or migrations in large enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness to translate technical solutions into business value.

Required skills

• Deep networking fundamentals: routing and switching, network security, wireless, datacenter networking.
• Hands‑on experience with SDN and multi‑vendor SD‑WAN platforms (Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Cisco Meraki/Viptela, Cradlepoint, Palo Alto).
• Scripting and DevOps: Python, REST APIs, configuration orchestration, zero‑touch provisioning, workflow automation.
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, KVM.
