Special Pricing and Costing Leader

About the role

The Special Pricing & Costing Leader leads the team supporting the Middle East and Africa region, managing end-to-end special pricing and project costing for control valve products. The role works with Sales, Application Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality to deliver accurate, competitive and profitable commercial proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Special Pricing & Costing Engineers, monitoring workload, productivity, quality and turnaround times
• Provide technical and commercial guidance on complex, high-value pricing opportunities
• Review special pricing requests, technical specifications, BOMs and manufacturing processes to set accurate costs and pricing structures
• Evaluate alternative configurations, sourcing strategies and manufacturing methods to optimise value and profitability
• Lead project costing during quotation stages and establish consistent costing methodologies
• Ensure compliance with pricing policies, financial controls and approval processes
• Work with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations on cost optimisation and commercial decisions
• Drive improvements in costing models, pricing tools and standard work, and identify automation and digitalisation opportunities
• Analyse variances between estimated and actual gross profit and maintain pricing and costing guidelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Control Valve, Flow Control, Industrial Automation or related industries
• Experience in Special Pricing, Costing, Order Engineering, Procurement or a related commercial engineering function
• Strong understanding of control valve products and manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with multiple manufacturing facilities and global supply chains
• Proficiency with costing, pricing, quotation and business management systems
• Experience driving automation, digitalisation and process improvement
