Specialist - Accounting

About the role

The Specialist – Accounting provides end‑to‑end accounting and financial support for contract‑based projects within EDGE’s security and defence portfolio. The role ensures accurate financial transactions, compliance with UAE accounting standards, and coordination with suppliers, logistics, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify and reconcile supplier invoices, GRNs and service entries in SAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments for month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries and reconciliations for management and client review.
• Monitor cost allocations, advances and payment schedules to ensure timely disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, customs and other regulatory financial requirements.
• Follow up on Duty Exemption and Customs Clearance Certificates for international shipments.
• Process contract‑related certificates (Goods Receipt Vouchers, Receiving and Acceptance Certificates) and obtain timely acknowledgments.
• Support daily accounting operations for projects and service contracts, including invoice processing and delivery tracking.

Required profile

• UAE national (Emirati talent) – project‑based assignment.
• Experience handling full accounting cycle for contracts or projects.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and customs regulations.
• Ability to work closely with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams.
