Specialist Anesthesia for Cosmetic Surgery

About the role

The Specialist – Anesthesia will join the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. This full‑time, on‑site role provides safe and effective anesthesia care for cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive procedures, from pre‑operative assessment through postoperative recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑operative patient assessments, risk stratification and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional and sedation anesthesia, monitor intra‑operative airway, hemodynamics and manage complications.
• Ensure high standards of peri‑operative pain management and coordinate postoperative recovery.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient safety and outcomes.

Required profile

• Board‑certified anesthesiologist (or equivalent) with valid DHA licence or eligibility letter for the UAE.
• Extensive experience in anesthesia for cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, preferably in tertiary or specialty hospitals.
• Familiarity with JCI accreditation standards and evidence‑based clinical guidelines.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in clinical teaching.
