Specialist Consultant Gastroenterologist – UKCCT Certified

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting a Specialist Consultant Gastroenterologist to work in leading hospitals and multispecialty facilities in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves delivering comprehensive gastro‑enterology services, performing endoscopic procedures, and providing evidence‑based patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including GERD, IBD, hepatitis and cirrhosis.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical, laboratory and imaging findings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and nutritionists.
• Provide preventive screening, patient education and maintain accurate medical records.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Post‑graduate specialist qualification in Gastroenterology (UK CCT, American Board, Australian specialist qualification or equivalent).
• Relevant clinical experience in gastroenterology and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant licensing in the UAE.
