Specialist Consultant Interventional Radiologist (American Board Certified) – UAE

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist or Consultant in Interventional Radiology to join a reputable healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves performing minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across a range of vascular and non‑vascular conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive procedures using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and other advanced imaging modalities.
• Diagnose and manage vascular and non‑vascular conditions requiring interventional radiology.
• Conduct angiography, angioplasty, embolization, vascular access, image‑guided biopsies, drainages and catheter placements.
• Assess patients pre‑procedure, obtain consent, develop treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, manage complications and ensure follow‑up care.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, patient safety standards and UAE regulations.

Required profile

• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiology with specialist training in Interventional Radiology.
• American Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology with an Interventional Radiology fellowship, or equivalent international qualification.
• Relevant post‑qualification experience in Interventional Radiology as required by UAE licensing authorities.
• Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant classification under DHA, DOH or MOHAP.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
