Specialist Consultant Interventional Radiologist (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Specialist or Consultant in Interventional Radiology to join a reputable healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will perform minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and other advanced imaging modalities.
• Manage vascular and non‑vascular conditions, including angiography, angioplasty, embolization, and catheter placements.
• Conduct image‑guided biopsies, abscess drainages, tumor ablations and other therapeutic interventions.
• Assess patients pre‑procedure, obtain consent, develop treatment plans and monitor post‑procedure outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control and UAE clinical documentation standards.

Required profile

• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiology with specialist training in Interventional Radiology.
• American Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology with an Interventional Radiology fellowship, or equivalent international qualification.
• Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant registration with DHA, DOH or MOHAP.
• Relevant post‑qualification experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
