Specialist Critical Care Physician – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Specialist Critical Care Physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality intensive care to critically ill patients and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage critically ill patients.
• Provide comprehensive intensive and critical care services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patients continuously and respond promptly to clinical changes.
• Perform critical care procedures within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with medical and surgical teams across specialties.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Support and mentor junior medical staff where appropriate.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesiology or a related specialty.
• Eligibility for Specialist Critical Care classification under UAE PQR requirements.
• Valid DOH licence or willingness to complete the licensing process.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience.
• Strong clinical, communication and decision‑making abilities.
