Specialist Infectious Disease Physician – Internationally Qualified

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Specialist or Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a reputable healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing a broad range of infectious diseases while ensuring compliance with international clinical standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnose infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.
• Manage complex infections such as sepsis, pneumonia, meningitis, tuberculosis, HIV and infections in immunocompromised patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe appropriate antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic therapies.
• Provide expert guidance on antimicrobial stewardship and resistance prevention.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, microbiology cultures, antimicrobial susceptibility results and molecular diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including microbiologists, intensivists, surgeons and oncologists.
• Support infection prevention and control programmes, outbreak investigations and public health requirements.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and postgraduate specialist qualification in Infectious Diseases.
• Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant classification under DHA, DOH or MOHAP.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
• Strong clinical judgment and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
