Specialist Internal Medicine

About the role

The Specialist Internal Medicine provides comprehensive, evidence‑based care to adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings at Mubadala Health Dubai. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and clinical quality.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage general internal medicine conditions, including complex and chronic diseases.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Provide care for inpatient and outpatient populations within granted clinical privileges.
• Coordinate with subspecialists, allied health professionals and other providers to optimise outcomes.
• Interpret diagnostic investigations, laboratory results and imaging studies to support decision‑making.
• Promote preventive health, education and chronic disease management strategies.

Required profile

• MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and a valid UAE medical licence or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years post‑specialisation experience in internal medicine.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, preferably within internationally accredited organisations.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.

Required skills

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
