Specialist Reproductive Endocrinology / Infertility (IVF)

About the role

The Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (IVF) provides expert clinical care for patients undergoing fertility treatment. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, the role involves diagnosing, treating and managing complex reproductive cases within a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards in reproductive medicine.
• Supervise junior medical staff and share responsibility for patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information promptly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate care with other specialties.
• Prepare patients for procedures, obtain informed consent and ensure safe discharge.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Support departmental initiatives, performance management and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Reproductive Medicine.
• Fellowship or additional certification in Reproductive Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years post‑specialization experience in reproductive medicine.
• Valid Department of Health (DOH) licence for Abu Dhabi.
• SEHA qualification from Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3.
