Specialist – Strategic Procurement, Engines Materials and USM

About the role

The Specialist – Strategic Procurement, Engines Materials and USM is responsible for the end‑to‑end planning, budgeting and execution of the Used Serviceable Material (USM) and surplus process for V2500 engines. The role works closely with technical, commercial and leasing teams to maximise the value of used engine assets through strategic sourcing, teardown oversight and parts sales.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement of factory‑new and used engine parts, ensuring certification, traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain complete documentation for all acquisitions to maximise part value and meet compliance standards.
• Build and sustain relationships with global business partners, customers, lessors, asset owners and surplus‑parts vendors.
• Develop a worldwide supplier network, identify teardown opportunities and negotiate purchase or consignment terms.
• Oversee inventory management, track component needs, monitor performance against budgets and identify resale opportunities for overstocked or ageing parts.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the sales team, including coordination of marketing content for V2500 part availability.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to verify documentation and certifications before adding parts to inventory.
• Analyse stock levels and recommend adjustments to optimise inventory value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing and procurement of aircraft engine components, particularly V2500 engines.
• Strong knowledge of certification, traceability and regulatory requirements for used serviceable material.
• Ability to develop and manage a global supplier network and negotiate purchase terms.
• Experience in inventory management, budgeting and performance monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building relationships with airlines, MROs and leasing companies.
• Capability to support sales and marketing activities with accurate technical information.
