About the role
Ahoy is looking for a Backend Engineer to join its team and help design secure, reliable and high-performance platforms. The role focuses on building scalable backend systems that power real-world products.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-ready backend services
- Design APIs and ensure system scalability and performance
- Work with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, etc.)
- Collaborate with product, design and cross-functional teams
- Ensure quality through TDD, CI/CD and clean architecture
Required profile
- 4+ years of backend development with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong experience with AWS and microservices
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and REST/GraphQL APIs
- Passion for clean, maintainable and secure code
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus
