Staff Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Ajman. The nurse will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care to premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring continuous monitoring, treatment administration, and support for recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous, specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns.
• Monitor and assess vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and nutritional support as prescribed.
• Operate and maintain advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and monitors.
• Assist in emergency procedures and neonatal resuscitation when required.
• Support feeding plans, including tube and assisted feeding.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Educate and support parents, encouraging involvement in newborn care.
• Ensure strict infection control and safety protocols are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and PALS.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
