Staff Nurse – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) – Tower D1

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower D1 provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The role involves direct patient care, education of patients and families, and coordination of care transitions while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision, and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments covering physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and regularly update individualized, culturally appropriate care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational policies.
• Document all assessment data, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the patient’s health record.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care to ensure continuity and safety.
• Promote and adhere to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Experience in a surgical or critical care setting, preferably in an ICU.
• Strong knowledge of nursing scope of practice, assessment techniques, and care planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
