Statutory Financial Controller – Turkish Speaker

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Financial Controller with Turkish language proficiency to lead statutory accounting, reporting and tax compliance for our Turkish entity, based in Dubai. The role will ensure full alignment with Turkish tax legislation and Group IFRS reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Turkish statutory accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
• Take ownership of Turkish tax compliance, including Corporate Tax, VAT, withholding tax and other applicable taxes.
• Monitor changes in Turkish tax legislation and advise the business on potential impacts.
• Manage relationships with Turkish tax advisors, auditors and relevant authorities, including tax audits and enquiries.
• Review tax calculations, provisions, reconciliations and statutory filings.
• Oversee the Turkish month‑end and year‑end close, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals and intercompany accounting.
• Ensure alignment between Turkish statutory accounts and Group/IFRS reporting.
• Support transfer‑pricing compliance and documentation.
• Provide financial control and technical accounting guidance to the local Turkish finance team.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting across the Turkish entity.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience in financial control, statutory accounting, tax or financial reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Turkish tax legislation and compliance.
• Deep knowledge of Turkish statutory accounting and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience managing Turkish tax filings, audits and tax advisors.
• Experience with Corporate Tax, VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and Group reporting.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing statutory reporting processes.
• ERP experience, ideally SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Fluent in Turkish and English.
• Dubai/UAE‑based candidates with direct Turkish tax experience are particularly relevant.
