Steward - Food & Beverage

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort group founded in 2000 in Turkey, is hiring a Steward for its hotel in Ras Al-Khaimah. The role provides courteous, professional and efficient service in the Food & Beverage division, with flexibility to rotate between sub-departments and other areas of the hotel as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Rixos standards of performance and open/close the workplace according to established procedures.
• Keep the work area and surroundings clean and organised, and help with general cleaning duties.
• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen utensils to performance standards, and empty rubbish bins on schedule.
• Use operating supplies carefully to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Understand HACCP procedures and the use of dishwashing machines and cleaning chemicals.
• Handle guest and employee enquiries courteously, report guest complaints to supervisors and follow up.
• Attend staff meetings, departmental and hotel trainings, and assist with periodic inventory of equipment.
• Report for duty on time in the correct uniform and name tag, with a high standard of personal appearance.
• Be flexible and willing to redeploy to other departments or areas as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior stewarding experience preferred.
• Physical stamina and reliability.
• Attention to cleanliness and detail, ability to follow instructions, and good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
