Steward – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Steward to join our hotel’s Food & Beverage team. You will ensure that all dishware, cookware and kitchen equipment are cleaned to the highest standards, supporting a smooth operation in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils according to performance standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines, select appropriate chemicals and follow safety procedures.
• Empty rubbish bins and maintain a tidy work area in line with hotel hygiene policies.
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures for the stewarding department.
• Rotate across sub‑departments of Food & Beverage as needed.
• Monitor and control operating supplies to minimise waste.
• Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and report unresolved issues to supervisors.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings and inventory counts.
• Maintain personal hygiene, proper uniform and compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.

Required profile

• Thorough understanding of cleaning procedures and chemical usage.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
• Flexible, team‑oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different kitchen areas.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow written procedures and hotel policies.
