Steward – Kitchen & Dishwashing

About the role

The First Group Hospitality is seeking a Steward for the Holiday Inn Dubai Village Circle. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dishwashing areas of the hotel. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of all washing up and cleaning machinery and report any faults to the supervisor.
• Operate dishwashing equipment, clean, wash and dry all items, and return them to the appropriate areas.
• Clean kitchen fixtures and equipment, including floors, refrigerators, cupboards, stoves, and Bain Marie after each service.
• Sort and dispose of refuse correctly, manage refuse bins, and clean the refuse area according to schedule.
• Use cleaning materials and chemicals economically while adhering to HACCP standards.
• Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as required and perform any additional tasks assigned by superiors.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a kitchen steward.
• Strong awareness of HACCP responsibilities and food safety procedures.
• Good knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Friendly, polite and courteous demeanor with strong organisational skills.
• Excellent customer service and team‑working abilities.
• Passion for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
