Steward – Pre-Opening 5-Star Hotel, Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

A steward is needed for an ultra-luxury 5-star hotel in Ras Al Khaimah that is currently pre-opening. The role keeps kitchen and back-of-house areas clean and hygienic and supports the kitchen and F&B teams during service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash, clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment to hotel standards.
• Sort, handle and dispose of waste, including food waste and recyclables, in line with hotel and UAE regulations.
• Keep dishwashing, pot wash and cleaning stations organized, safe and operational.
• Support kitchen and F&B teams by keeping clean equipment available during service.
• Help with basic kitchen support tasks such as moving supplies, refilling stations and organizing storage.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and food safety procedures strictly.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following MSDS and hotel guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment faults or safety hazards to the Stewarding Supervisor.
• Support cleaning during banquets, events and high-volume service periods.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of previous experience in a 5-star hotel or large kitchen operation.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Physically fit, able to lift and stand for long hours.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Positive attitude, reliability and teamwork; ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Basic English.
