Stewarding Team Leader

About the role

As the Stewarding Team Leader at Aloft Abu Dhabi, you will oversee the daily cleaning operations across the hotel’s kitchen, food-and-beverage outlets and laundry areas. You will ensure a safe, efficient and high-quality environment for guests and staff while supporting a diverse team of utility cleaners.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule utility cleaners across all departments.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Operate, monitor and perform routine maintenance on dishwashing machines, linen washers, dryers and other cleaning equipment.
• Coordinate the movement and storage of linens and dishware throughout the property.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Assist with training new team members on proper cleaning procedures and equipment use.

Required profile

• No specific educational requirement; high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with other departments.
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to upholding Marriott’s standards of service and safety.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation.
• Linen washer and dryer operation.
• General cleaning equipment maintenance.
