Storage & Backup Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Storage & Backup Architect to lead the design and technical governance of enterprise storage, backup, and data protection solutions across our UAE operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design for SAN/NAS, block and file storage.
• Define storage tiering, replication, performance, capacity planning and backup retention/immutability requirements.
• Establish and maintain RPO/RTO targets, HA and DR solutions, and recovery validation processes.
• Produce and maintain High‑Level and Low‑Level Design documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and review implementations for compliance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, virtualization, security and architecture teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a storage & backup architecture role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Relevant vendor certifications and ITIL 4 Foundation preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
