Structural Engineer – Site Supervision (Bridges & Underpass)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to supervise bridge and underpass construction in Sharjah, UAE. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer and the construction supervision team to ensure quality and safety on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and related correspondence.
• Supervise construction of bridges/viaducts, coordinate activities with engineers, contractors and authorities.
• Maintain daily diaries, reports and oversee inspectors and surveyors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and ensure safety procedures are implemented.
• Verify as‑built drawings, manage hand‑over of structural works and support final clearance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of construction supervision experience on bridges and underpasses.
• Proficient in computer applications and project‑specific engineering software.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
