Structural Engineer – Steel Bridges

About the role

Inhabit is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in steel bridge design, construction, inspection, and rehabilitation. The role involves overseeing engineering activities and ensuring compliance with international standards and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and verify structural designs, calculations and shop drawings for steel bridge projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct structural assessments, inspections and condition surveys of steel bridges and recommend repair or strengthening solutions.
• Review fabrication and erection methodologies and ensure adherence to relevant design codes and local authority requirements.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical submissions, method statements and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience on steel bridge projects, including design, construction, inspection or rehabilitation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
