Structures Lead – 90‑day Contract in Abu Dhabi

About the role

This is a 90‑day contract position on Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi, supporting the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program. The Structures Lead will direct inspection, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of structural components, from permanent facilities to temporary fabric shelters.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair doors, roofing, flooring, foundations, gutters and surface coverings.
• Perform metal and fabric fabrication, welding, oxy/acetylene cutting, corrosion control, and concrete form work.
• Remodel, refurbish or demolish existing facilities and apply protective coatings, sealants, epoxies, paints and fencing.
• Carry out interior finish repairs including acoustic ceiling tiles, sheetrock, drywall, and painting.
• Conduct routine inspections and repairs of carpentry, masonry (CMU, brick, tile), sheet‑metal (ducts, metal patchwork, roll‑up doors), and tension‑fabric systems.
• Maintain documentation, safety standards and facility credentials throughout the deployment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years construction experience with at least 2 years proven leadership.
• US citizenship (required for facility credentials).
• Valid driver’s license, passport and ability to pass contract medical requirements.
• Preferred OSHA construction safety certification.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
