Superintendent – Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Superintendent (I&C) with extensive on‑shore site experience on MEGA EPC projects to join a PMC assignment in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on commissioning and operation readiness for sales gas and condensate assets within oil & gas and petrochemical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors across the assigned area.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to ensure commissioning activities follow prescribed procedures.
• Oversee progress of commissioning activities for sales gas and condensate streams.
• Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures, manuals and mechanical completion certificates.
• Participate in commissioning meetings, troubleshoot issues and verify system readiness for MC and RFSU certificates.
• Monitor and approve punch‑list close‑out, ensuring handover complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, including sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurisation.
