Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the Purchasing & Logistics function, ensuring compliance, efficiency and alignment with business objectives. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to optimise procurement processes, inventory levels and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policies that meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Oversee planning, organising and directing of the Purchasing & Logistics department.
• Set KPIs, monitor team performance and provide coaching to enhance capability.
• Define and manage procurement agreements, review purchase requests and validate invoices.
• Interpret applicable laws and maintain accurate records using appropriate systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Regulatory, Tender, Procurement and Warehouse teams to improve processes.
• Prepare demand forecasts using historical trends and market insights.
• Engage suppliers on lead times, capacity and negotiate terms for cost efficiency.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring at least three months’ stock for registered items.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Business Administration (pharmaceutical knowledge is a plus).
• 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or related functions.
• Professional certifications such as CISCP, CISCM are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting systems.
• Experience with demand planning tools or advanced analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, advanced Excel).
